If I'm willing to take ~$1k loss or so for the trans swap, I wonder how much I could buy it for and make back parting out good parts...

Yeah I could probs offer them like 2-3k and come out in a good position if the trans is still good
Ask if they’re Interested in selling it. If they say yes whip out $1000 cash on the spot. Go from there, I’d prob stop about 2k. At 3k you’ll be doing work parting it out to make your money back. You’re basically buying the hardtop because we don’t know the condition of the trans/test of drivetrain.

They're uh mickey thompson atz 33x12.5x15 he says they have like 4k miles
