The Hidden Body Lift

I’m guessing yours are like ours, TJs don’t last a few days until they’re stripped to the bone. However maybe this is the one part people aren’t jumping after?
I only know in the 10 times or so I've been to salvage yards within 50 miles of me that the only TJ's in them were but the barest of stripped hulks. All 4 of them.

After having just completed this mod, the one thing I will tell people is to PAY ATTENTION before burning your stuff in. I didn't realize in the heat of the moment that by using the rear upper body mounts you can gain another 1/4". That doesn't sound like much, but it is huge in my opinion. @mrblaine is genius on this stuff (don't let it go to his head 😂).

Watched the video. I have all these parts on the shelf, just need to get it done. Great job.

If you use the rear upper then won't the new mount have a 1/4" gap between it and the top of the frame?

Ya'll and you're lack of accuracy on important shit is maddening.

Rear upper what?

What new mount and how do you get a frame gap?

Rear upper body mount bushing. It also looks like the part number given on page three for the rear lower body mount bushing doesn't include the sleeve.

Genright, gap for the horizontal portion that would sit on the frame but due to the shorter bushing these are now raised up an additional 1/4. Unless I'm not understanding something, which happens.

Starting off on the right foot today, are we?! 😉

Add a ... mid arm bracket.
I have the Genright mounts, and I opened up the ID of some new rear lower mounts (for use on the side mounts per this thread) on a lathe so that I could use them with the side upper mounts, but the Savvy mid-arm kit is in its 20th week of backorder for me. I've been holding off on doing the body mount lift until all parts are in hand suspecting that I could encounter issues, but lately I've been considering doing the body mount lift now, just to get it done.

I've never seen the mid-arm kit installed. Do the Savvy mid arm brackets occupy the same space as the Genright body mounts?

They do. Early in this thread you should be able to see the extra layer of steel on top of the frame where the GR mounts sit.
