Last moving violation

2010 95 in a 55 zone on Amboy Rd in the middle of the Mojave desert. HP officer wrote me a ticket for 60 in a 55 zone. Being Ca it still cost me $500 but he could have taken me to jail. It pays to be nice to the cops and keep them calm. Or it might just have been White Privilage.

1968 on a Honda 305 Street Hawk. Cop said I was going 85 mph. That Honda never went 85 a day in it's life. Called my old man at 2 a.m. to bail me out. (I told him to take me to jail.) Went to court and was given the option of writing an essay on the dangers of speed. HA HA! Left for active duty in the USN two days later.
Been stopped many, many times since, but the TX CCH, Vietnam Vet plates, and membership in the TX State Trooper Association has generated many warnings, but no tickets.
Now that I'm driving a 2006 Jeep LJ, not too much chance of getting stopped for speeding.

Speeding in a Pontiac in 1988 was the only one till last month when I got disgusted with people driving to slow to hit the green lights. Went through a red light so late it was almost green again. That’s when I saw the unmarked Explorer!

Sorry, that's me.

Well, my dumb ass had already saw 2 cars getting pulled over going the other direction. Went about 2 more miles and flagrantly went through the red light. I was still in the intersection when I saw the unmarked explorer.

Never have been ticketed. Been pulled over a few times, for speeding only once. Cops don't like it when you drive on the shoulder to get to your turnoff when traffic is stopped...

I thought you never got a ticket because you were wearing a low cut dresses 🤷‍♂️

Spent a good part of the day consoling clients who lost family in 9-11. Got on the highway in a 2001 Audi twin turbo S4 and mindlessly drifted to 70mph in a 55mph zone. Very attractive female highway patrol gave me no mercy..

2001, first and only. was written a ticket for going 45mph in a 45mph zone 🤷‍♂️. cop told me he was gonna be nice and write me down for 45 and not the 49mph I was actually doing.

2 years or so prior the speed limits were raised on the local dirt roads from 25mph based on how many driveways per mile (I was in a 45mph section). the county had been fighting the state over it for a few years and refused to send road commission out take the posted 25mph signs down and replace with the new signs because they wanted to keep the roads at 25mph residential zoning.

come to find out the cop lived on the road right where he pulled me over at and was one of the ones who also wanted to keep it at 25, therefor why I was ticketed by the asshole.

ended up wasting a day off of work to sit in court. everyone ahead of me got impeding traffic fines, my name was called last and the magistrate flat out told me my case was dismissed. about a week later all the signs on the road were replaced to the actual state regulated speed limit signs. (y)

Does attempted count? In 2008 the JDM cops tried to get me for drag racing and reckless op. 3 hrs and a couple of translators later, they gave up and just gave me a parking ticket even though I was in it with the engine running when they pulled up which is "standing" and allowed. Cost me $150'ish bucks but not did I make them earn it.

That is BS considering what was going on here on Long Island and the city that day!

I agree. I did explain to her that my mind was on other arguably more import issues and was after midnight.. not like there was any traffic. It was on the Seaford Oyster Bay Exp right at the start by Jericho Tpke.. back then, they patrolled it like hawks

Cost me a few bucks for a lawyer and ultimately got it reduced.

Red light in 2019 caught on camera. I still think it was really silly. We had just moved here. That yellow light is extremely short.
