My LJ is a 2005 with auto. We installed hiline fenders so we had to relocate the Cruise Control servo. When we first relocated everything we didn't reinstall the vacuum canister(not sure what it is called. It was located under battery on factory inner fender). After everything was put back together the cruise would not come on at all. The light on dash would not come on. So we traced the vacuum hose that was attached to the cruise and realized that it went to the vacuum T that went to the canister that we didn't install. We reattached the vacuum hose and now the cruise control light will come on when the Jeep is first started and go off within 30-60 seconds. We are kinda at a lose. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have some things to check? Here is where we put vacuum temp until we figure it out. Thanks for any help

You need to trace the vacuum lines to see where you're losing vacuum, as that's what's needed for the cruise to engage. Are your vent adjusters in the cab working where you can go to feet or defrost and back?

Check the connectors on the servo and solenoid purge valve to make sure you didn't mix them up. Pull the connectors and check the number of pins to make sure you have them plugged into the right place.

That and I'm just a bit pleased that your master cylinder wasn't in the way of the highlines or this would have been a much shorter conversation.

We had to pull the cruise servo off again to get to the steering shaft to finish the hydro assist project. We moved the mounting points for the servo on the hiline inner fender. It didn't change the angle very much but it did the trick. Cruise works perfect again. Again. Thanks for all the input. This forum is very helpful.
