Boosted Tech Supercharger Kit Issues / Forced Induction Tuning Rant (From a Tuners Standpoint)

You have any luck getting your boosted kit going? Mines a mess hasn’t ran right since installed. Completely shuts down at around 45 mph under light throttle. Code is correlation between map and tps. Only vacuum leak was the junk tb he sent me and replaced with a bbk. Had multiple shops look at it and can’t find anything wrong.
Send me a pM. installed my entire kit in my driveway and got it running, its been fantastic for the last 2 yrs. I had a few minor issues when i initally setup, that i figured out to be stupid mistakes, like stuff not plugged in the right place etc. i have a 98 and the split second box.

So i am going to add my two cents here. I bought one of these kits. I was sold on it after spending an hour and a half on the phone with the guy mark and getting all of my questions answered. I figured this will be great, he has all this time to chat with me about it. So when i finally got the beans together i purchased it right before the start of covid. It arrived, covid happened, i finally had a lot of free time at home to install it. I tried to call this guy when i had problems. There was always an excuse. the first time he kept having trouble hearing me. Over and over again for a few days. then we would email and he would say he had 25 calls that day and had no problems. I replied and said i work on call for work and have no issues speaking to them. Later on i had problems with my idler pully, which i still do. it squeaks to all hell if it even THINKS about being near moisture. He would rush me off the phone saying he had a meeting to be in. Like what meeting?

Thankfully i have 2 friends who do tuned cars, one Turbo buicks and he was able to assit me with some of my issues i was having. I got the jeep running great and totally enjoy driving it now, on and off road. Enter the split second box. Its stuffed inside my old air cleaner box. I sealed the front of the box with plastic and silicone. I ran all the wires in thru the air tube and stuffed it with a rubber boot so general moisture cant get to it easily. I emailed ryan when i found him on another forum in hopes of tuning my PCM and ditching the split second box. He suggested an intercooler and water/meth. I am not making a race car here, i totally respect his knowledge and experience as theres tons of evidence that he knows what hes doing. Id like to avoid going that route.

My curiousity for him, and other tuner guys here is there a way we can just tune the SC in the PCM and get that little bit of fun out of it? Im happy with my 5 lbs of boost. Im happy with not needing to downshift when the cruise is set with the top off going up the parkway. But id like to be able to make a minor water crossing without toasting that box. Are there other options we can explore? im willing to lend my vehicle to this experimentation so others can do the same, its not my daily. I use it as a pleasure vehicle so its very available.
