What did you do to your TJ today?

Just set some trusses- 11:15 pm Alabama time- taking the TJ out now -

The ‘03 sits ready -

These jeeps mean a lot to me for getting away and forgetting the stress of the day- I’m not kidding when I say that-

The dude in the picture is not me it’s one of our helpers that was popping his back and I just happened to snap the picture at the right time-

This is a tiny house that I’m building for a young guy at church that has been a good buddy and he is getting married and this is my wedding present to them-(the labor is)

This is just rambling-

These things are my little getaway at the end of a long hot day-

I ran into my son at the gas station and I wanted him to drive it to see how much better it’s running

Did you use the hitch receiver as a stencil?

No.
The mount for this style of bike carrier has a round plate that goes over the studs on the tire carrier before the spare is mounted.
The stem is 1.5" square tube w/a plate welded in the end. The red knob has a bolt in it that tightens into the stem to secure the rack.

So in case you guys wonder why in the world is this maniac doing driving around at midnight-

Well there’s a story-

My dad is 81 and his mental and physical health is going south quick-

I’ve got a second cousin that is absolutely a train wreck- He currently lives in a tent behind his parents house- complete idiot, almost beyond belief.

So I’m driving over there and slipping down the driveway with the lights off to make sure he isn’t trying to “help”
my dad and steal , take his medicine or mooch in any way- the cousin is a typical dopehead con artist. Got out of prison last year and it has been downhill since-

To make it a little more intense dad has a gun safe- he sold a lot of his guns to my oldest son who in turn amassed a huge collection of very nice bird guns - Citoris, 101’s, Weatherbys, Light 12’s, 1100’s in every gage, Model 12’s -even had a ‘58 model 12 that was never shot-

I’ve told my son- get those guns out of there!

But Dad, I need a gun safe.....

Uh no you won’t if he steals your guns.....

At this stage my dad is liable to do anything, like give some away thinking they are his. He has already deeded one house to someone we don’t even know. Time for power of attorney.

I’m in for a wild ride guys. I have a great wife and awesome older sister to help, so at least I’m not on my own.

I feel for you man . My dad and best friend passed last Nov but not before 8 agonizing years as he slipped further into dementia. And I have a sister and 2 of her sons that were more than willing to take advantage of him in his weakened mental state.

Usually one child bears the majority of the load and this frees up the rest of the siblings to criticize

I hate that you had to go through that.

How do you live in such circumstances
......you need to come over here and run my construction company and I’ll volunteer to take your place and see if I can go there and straighten them out

Yeah on days like today, its really tough. ;).... because I'm an import to New Zealand from the UK I never take this scenery for granted.... lived here for 35 years and it still amazes me.

Holy shit vibes man! Get in there and take control before shit gets way out of hand. Family and money is unfortunately always messy.

I feel you. My Mom died with Alzheimer’s. We said “goodbye” to her for 12 years. Thankfully, my family was nothing like what you described. ‘Couldn’t ask for better siblings.
