Work from home LJ

Wrapped up big brake kit install this morning. Will do break in procedure tomorrow morning.

Ordered 5.13 gears. I’m leaning towards Eaton e lockers. I don’t really want to run air to both axles and drive in snow a few times a year (rules out automatic lockers/lunchbox for example).

I'm leaning this route too. I prefer electric locker over cracking airlines in the winter.

Anyone know which of these two sets I should buy? I initially wrote down the aluminum set because they are double adjustable. But I can’t remember if that’s right.

Option 1) https://savvyoffroad.com/product/ce-9100sa/

Option 2) https://savvyoffroad.com/product/ce-9100/

Definitely get option 1. I have option two, and have modified them to have double adjustable lowers as well as uppers. I would have much preferred to get them that way from the start... But didn't know better at the time. Thought... It won't be that big of deal. It is...

There's old knowledge around the forums that you set pinion and forget it. In my experience and reading around, that's not reality if you want to dial everything in.

Yeah, about the 20th time I unbolted my lower arm to move the front axle just a little bit to get the tie rod to pass the track bar...I decided I was going to figure out how to cut the end of my control arms, thread them, and install new housings. It SUCKS bad, lol.

Anyone have recommendations for sliders with a step? The jeep is already hard for my wife to get in. Given its going to get about 4" taller with the lift/tires coming, it is not going to get easier.

Those look a bit extreme for what I need, although quite nice

I have a short wife and decaying joints (youth is wasted on the young!) and went with those with their armor. I have them installed, but not wired, yet. They are very heavy (about 104 lb for the steps and 66 lb for the armor), and I hope they are at least average as sliders go. It was an expensive compromise, but since they're not wired, yet, and my build is still in progress, I don't know that I'd recommend them, yet.

I made a stirrup for her. She's too embarrassed to use it, so she finds a way to get in. 😆 😆

Just picked up an awesome deal on both Currie track bars from a forum member. At this point I think I have more parts in my garage / en route to me than on my Jeep

Is anything bad going to happen if I drive on 4” Currie lift / 35s before doing body lift? I’d love to order Savvy’s but it’s on back order. I’m assuming I’ll be fine on road but less than ideal off.

I’m fine waiting for off-road until I actually get body lift in. But wasn’t sure if I can move forward with installing 35”s without BL

I know I can order others but savvy seemed like best option

To really know you'll want to cycle your axles and likely bump stop it. I'd say it's likely you'd be fine for driving around since the interference is often at the edges (e.g. my current profile picture) - but that's not always the case as you use a surprising amount of travel on the road. Toss a zip tie around all your shock shafts butted up against the body. You'll see where they end up to know what travel you're using.
