How much lift do I need for 35s?

I don't know why I said bumpers. I was probably thinking of the stock milk jugs.

Neither shocks. Pick something else. Fox are very stiff, falcons have adjusters that hang very low.

Clayton makes quality suspension, you won’t be disappointed in it.

If it were me, I would spend the coin and get Fox 2.0 smoothie shocks with remote reservoir and outboard the rear shocks. Those do run about 400-450 per shock and outboard if requires some work/a good technician, but you’ll only have to do it once. Then you can have those shocks custom tuned to your vehicle. This is where you are likely to end up anyhow.

If you don’t want to do that with the shocks, and want something off the shelf, I’d get the skyjacker blackmax. Others here seem to like the rancho5000x as well. But don’t get the fox or falcon, there’s a good chance you won’t like them. I had the fox, never liked them. I now run the blackmax until I can get my suspension to a point where I want to outboard and get custom tuned shocks.

Excellent... I had the Falcons in my cart. Outboard the rear shocks???

Yes, it looks like this. It gets the shock up higher away from the rocks and you can also run a longer shock getting a little more up travel and usually a lot more down travel than stock. I believe it also tends to improve the on road stability feel of the Jeep. But I’m unsure how much of that is the outboarding and how much is the tuned shocks.

As far as the front, I’m not totally sure what is entailed in running a longer shock up front. A new shock mount for sure but I don’t know the details of it. But you could outboard the rear and run the fronts in stock as well.

Outboarding should give you greater travel in both directions if set up properly. Shoot for 6" in either direction. Mine is 7" up and 5" down. Fronts will require a new tower, or lopping off part of the existing tower and extending it. @rasband recently put 11s on his.

Check this bloke out to see what the outboarding entails. Don't mind the useless goons helping in the video. 😜

Follow BFH Garage on Youtube. He has a lot of good tech info in his videos.

Typically you get more up travel because the shock body is raised higher, which allows you to build for 50/50 travel. The wider stance on the axle and at the frame would increase the amount of leverage any shock would have to mitigate body roll. A good tune would only improve upon that.

Nice thanks for the clarification on that.

YEP those steps look like cheese graters :ROFLMAO:

I have a set of Poison Spider Ricochet Rockers waiting at the powder coater.

4" short arm suspension with 1.25 body lift, Fox Series 2 or Teraflex Falcon 3 shocks and a 4" premium short arm lift from Claytonoffroad ?

Here is what you Jeep will look like 4”Currie springs, short arm, 1 1/4” body lift, 35x 12.5 x 15” wheels. I can send you some pictures of how to fix the PS rockers to get the, off the body mounts before you powder coat.

Would you mind sending pics of what you did to your rockers or posting them up here? I've been running a set of PS sliders for years now

On all the outboard talk, that’s a pretty significant upgrade.

Plenty of bolt on shock options, black max or Rancho 5000x are cheap and well regarded here.

Clayton makes good stuff but the Rockjock 4” lift with Johnnie joints on both ends are better (double adjustable a if you have the money).

Lots of people have metalcloak stuff here but their springs don’t have the best travel bias for our rigs. Their double adjustable control arms have some marketing hype but have replaceable joints with decent flex and don’t require grease.
