What music makes you feel good about being alive?

Widespread Panic
Ain't Life Grand

To piggyback a little off my dude here, Surprise Valley.

Specifically the first lead riff into when JB says “Kiss the mountain air we breathe”

If that doesn’t make you feel something inside and your hair stand up, I’m not sure what to tell you…

There's too many songs to name, but I think in general people always most enjoy the music they listened to as they came of age during their late teens. For me that's alternative rock of the 90s. Bands like Live, Toadies, Candlebox, STP, Offspring, Everclear, Cake, Foo Fighters, Weezer, No Doubt... It doesn't matter that it's not objectively the best music I've heard...none of those would make a list of my favorite musical artists which would include Zeppelin and Floyd, Rush, Metallica, Queen, Dio, Dream Theater, Coheed &Cambria, Trivium and Opeth when they're not growling... there's just something about 90s alternative that brings me to a time and place when life was new and easy.

The 90s really were a golden era.

I so wish Derek Trucks had of joind the band when Mickey passed away. As much as I like Jimmy Herring he noodles a little much for me.

It would certainly be a lot better than what’s he’s doing with TTB… Jimmy has never been the best fit imo, but works well enough to keep the train moving. I listen to Schools 10x more than Jimmy.

Thats why I like my Alexa. If I'm thinking about something just ask Alexa. Growing up in the Boston area music was huge, especially eighties new age college music.
