Am I a bad guy if I don't participate in the Jeep wave?

I will usually wave, I don't pay particular attention to whether it's a CJ or TJ or MallJ or PoserJ or whatever. I fully believe the TJ is the last "real" Jeep but also it doesn't cost me anything to give a wave. We all hate each other so goddamn much these days, why not do something free that might give someone a smile?

I certainly don't care if I don't get one in return, I realize not everyone is always on the lookout for it.

I will say I have definitely given the Jeep wave to another Jeep only to realize that I am in fact in the bimmer and probably look like a doofus...

My take on it is the Jeep wave never existed. It was a Jeepers wave. When Jeep’s were Jeep’s you were sacrificing a lot of creature comforts for a lifestyle. CJ’s had shit heaters, shit wipers, defrosters, etc, compared to all cars at the time.

We waved at each other as a sign of respect for our passion. You owned a jeep then because you used your Jeep as intended, while giving up a lot of comfort.

Those days are gone, I still wave to Jeepers, they are usually easy to pick out of the crowd.

I remember all the things that you’re talking about- snap on tops, etc....I’m telling you it always was a real different breed of person that was able to handle all that and drive one daily. They were not for the faint of heart. The jeep wave probably would’ve gotten off the ground earlier if you could’ve took your hands off the wheel more.

The first vehicle I ever drove was a 70's CJ5 with a 304, a 3 speed manual. Once summer hit the Bikini top went on and only came of if I was driving around with the windshield down. Worst memory of those experiences was getting busted by my dad for disconnecting the speedometer so he didn't know how many miles I was putting on it. (I forgot to hook it back up one weekend he was home from being on the road.)

I learned the wave LONG before I could drive so it was natural for me to do it. Of course bac k then YJs had just come out and "They had square headlights!!!" So they weren't Jeeps, they were "Wranglers" Or as I would later find out Yuppie Jeeps (YJ).

For a while it didn't matter and I'd wave at anything sporting a bikini top even FJs (I know sacrilege!!!) Eventually I came back to reality and only wave at other removeable top Jeeps now.

Props to you for actually knowing that it’s a bimmer!

my friend drives around with a bag of ducks. I told him if I saw someone doing that to my jeep I'd be mad and would chuck it. You don't touch another person's car

I have never placed a Duck on anyone's Jeep, I may have had a bag of them and handed them to other people to duck a jeep with......

Does that make me an enabler?????
On the first paragraph, it’s like the guy at the altar confessing everything as the preacher said “tell it brother “ to every sin then he mentioned an incident with a goat, and the preacher said - “brother, don’t think I’d a told that. “

Felony Solicitation of Quack.
