So pretty much im going to do some more hardcore 4wd in my tj right, and the guy at the tyre shop says i shouldnt disconnect my swaybar, but i think he means itll be disconnected at all times, he also says itll break my car if i have it undone. So can i undo the bolts on it and tie the bar away with some rubber straps and do it back up at the end? and will me car be completely fine?
Im running a 2 inch lift and 32 inch tyres.

Yes, you can disconnect the sway bar links and tie it up. You will experience more body roll but will not hurt your vehicle.

I'm not sure if you're allowed to run an Antirock down under, but if you are you can run a swaybar that doesn't need to be disconnected. It's slightly less stiff than the factory bar, but will flex and twist offroad giving you more stability when off camber.

Better not tell him about all of the aftermarket companies that produce and/or sell sway bar disconnects. ;)

I once had a tyre shop guy tell me I shouldn't air down off road, because you want the tires to be able to push back against rocks and sticks hard... you know. so you don't get flats.
I asked him for crypto currency advice.
