What kind of lubricant would be ideal for minivan sliding doors?

I was introduced to it when I worked for a small freight company that used primarily flatbeds and drop decks, we had chains and locks for the tarps on the headache racks. The locks would freeze up and the drivers couldn't get there tarps down, after we started using triflow on the locks that problem went away.

Nothing wrong with a minivan. When I had my first child 30 years ago, I went to the dealership and traded in my Cherokee, and my balls, for a minivan…

Can’t argue with the utility though.

But once we got to 4 kids, we had to move up to the Suburban. So, there is hope.

Unlike some Dad’s I actually enjoy minivans, crazy, huh?

Anyways, I would like to grease the tracks on the sliding doors just to keep them gliding smooth. I am wondering what would be the right type of lubricant or grease to use for this application?

I don’t like any grease as it attracts dirt and is messy if someone rubs up against it. I have cleaned many door latches gummed up by spray grease. I would use a dry type lube on the roller, like a silicone spray but something that will stay longer. We would use a industrial brand lube I cannot recall the name. You really want to lube the roller and let it roll on the track.

(Improper use of possessive ;) ) Minivans are actually a better choice for many/most people over the ubiquitous SUVs/Crossovers. Larger inside, better mileage, more comfortable, more versatile. Just don't tow with it or take it off road!

Agree and actually mentioned something along those lines to my wife when our kids were young. In response, I think she said "then you drive it" :ROFLMAO:
So, she got an SUV.
