Almost bought an LJ today

Well, we almost scored our first LJ on Saturday. We were on our way down to Huntsville, was 10 min away and then it sold. Good price, 04 stock southern Jeep, with under 100K mi. The mood was deflated for the drive back home.

Good news is that my wife was probably more bummed than I was, which means she is into it as much as I am.

Man, we did so many Almosts when we were looking. I know how you feel. We finally "caught" one, but had to drive 6 hours to get it, and 6 hours back.

Gotta be quick on the TJ's. People are snapping them up.

When I was looking for a car and had two get sold before I could get them, I joked with my wife that I'm going to keep the cash in a suitcase and hand cuff it to my arm.

I think that any pre-iPhone car, and even more-so, pre-computerized cars are going to do nothing but go up in value.

I know the feeling all too well. I found a nice 02' auto. I was the first one to contact the owner, 10 minutes after he placed the ad. I told him I definitely wanted it, had actual cash money with me and was on my way to get it. He said great and see you then. I drove 3 hours and was 2 miles from his house, I texted him to let him know we were almost there. I got a reply, "sorry, I just sold it to someone else that showed up." Some days it's good to leave your guns at home. 🤬🤬🤬

p.s. That was 8 Jeeps ago and I'm still pissed off.
