Looking to upgrade my 2005 Wrangler 15" wheels to 17's. Don't like aftermarket .. what Jeep wheels will fit my 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern? Would like black or gray to match my soft top. Looking to go with 285/50/17 tires as I'm not looking to alter height. If I have to go aftermarket I would at least want to be able to utilize Jeep center caps. Really trying to avoid spacers or adaptors, as I drive at speeds up to 100 mph. Really appreciate any feedback to help me get the right wheels, then, of course, I'll just mount new tires. My Jeep currently has a 'death shake' at between 55 and 60 mph .. could be due to rust in current steel wheels?

None.

Lots of OEM Jeep wheels in 17” but a different bolt pattern. You’d need an adapter. These are safe. Just torque to OEM spec and check each time you rotate your tires.

Which 17" Jeep OEM wheels would give me the correct offset?
Is there a 16" Jeep OEM alloy wheel with a 5x4.5 bolt pattern and the correct offset I could utilize?

Fix your death wobble before you drive 100 mph anymore… it’s 2022, being a dumbass doesn’t make you cool.

100 mph in a tj sounds suicidal.

Hard to believe "My Jeep currently has a 'death shake' at between 55 and 60 mph ." Maybe exaggerating some?

I had a wobble at 62mph. I tried everything. Balance, road force balance, check the font stuff (was all new anyway) . New tires do it all again.

Nothing worked. I replaced my china made procomp steelies with some good ole american made aluminum wheels.

Bingo. Like it was on rails even at 70 mph.

So in my case it was indeed the wheels. Check everything else first. Twice.

70MPH is my jeeps never exceed speed. Even in a dive. 100 is out of the question.

As far as 17" wheels go, I agree with Boogie. If the jeep engineers wanted you to have 17" wheels it would have come that way.

Why would anyone need or want to go 100 mph in a TJ?!?!

Didn't you watch and listen to Top Gun? The "Need for speed" is real. My 98' topped out at 96 mph with 35s.
