Grille braces rotted at the firewall

Hello, anyone know of an easy fix for rusted out at the firewall grill braces? I live on an extremely rough road and the braces have separated from the fire wall taking the bolts with them. Seems like it will need to be welded at the firewall. Hoping for a drill and volt on repair. The consequent wiggling has cause the fenders to fatigue now my jeep squeeks and the fender metal has ripped on both sides. Been looking haven't seen much options out there. Please help if you can. Will post pictures when I get back to the jeep.

A picture or two of the rusted out area and what's left will help you get more of an answer than:

Just screw them back on right beside where they used to be bolted on.

And for some reason I though the rust belt of the mainland was the place to avoid even though Hawaii is surrounded by salt water.

I'm trying to imagine how the grill braces are rotted?

Sounds like the support rods broke away from their attachment point on the firewall. At first I was thinking of the V-shaped brace in front of the radiator.

But have you ever heard of such a thing? You are in the rust capitol of the world have you ever seen that happen? I would think a jeep could rot completely but the grill support rods would be like new?

Now the V shaped brace that attaches directly to the grill can definitely rust since it's an open tube design if I recall

It's uncommon. I've seen the issue on carcasses that have sat with the hood removed.

The V-brace rotting out is fairly common around here.

I would like to see what the frame and tub mounts look like if the firewall rust is so bad it’s separating and falling apart.

Washers with nuts and bolts through firewall or weld small plates in with nuts spotted on the back.

This might be a good time to buy an inexpensive MIG welder and learn how to weld. A 110v MIG welder would be enough to weld on the firewall and make most minor repairs.

I was hoping for some type of aftermarket upgrade that would bolt over existing location. Haven't seen anything at quadratic or other sites. Seems simple but while front end wiggles now.

Hopefully those are alright and this problem is just from years of salty sea mist or maybe even some waves landing on the Jeep and not coming up from underneath.

Tub mounts are rotted frame is ok has rubberized undercoating. I think it's just lots of bumbling and bouncing which caused the fatigue.

Yeah I was talking to welders quite a bit of electrical in the area. Thank you for the option and taking the time to troubleshoot.

My guess is your cowl got plugged and rotted it from the inside out. If there is good metal nearby, maybe a nutsert located away from the rust would be an okay fix…

Yes support rods broke away from fire wall. Thought I saw some aluminum tubular upgrade on other jeeps but couldn't find for sale.

Thank you! Will consider. No after market upgrade s available?

I never heard of upgrades unless you fab up something. But anyway, one of my braces cracked through also, I found the front body mounts sagged from rusty frame brackets. Guess it put more stress on them.
Edit: my hood latches were out of alignment too till I fixed the mounts, are yours all bendy and hard to latch?
