Ok, Replaced it and wondering if it matters the position of the whole unit in its position on the engine? It turns exactly like a distributer would for adjusting timing. Does it matter???
Runs great
Fwiw, I ran the included Crown sensor with my OPDA and it ran well until it randomly failed on me without much of a warning.
My warning was the RPMs cycling up and down twice (I thought maybe it was me losing traction in the rain during a turn). I shut off the Jeep to go inside a local business (and definitely should not have done that!).
My engine had a P0344 code for the CPS that would not erase and my Jeep would not start.
Luckily I was able to get a ride and replaced the part with with my spare Napa Echlin CPS. It started right up and the code has not come back.
I’m tempted to keep a 10mm socket & driver along with my spare OEM CPS with me at all times after that experience.
Don’t mean to scare anyone but I don’t want anyone to get stranded especially off the grid.
I bought a used OPDA on ebay so that I could replace the Crown sensor with an OEM sensor.
That’s a clever way to get an OEM sensor (never considered that).
Hopefully it'll work. Don't think $58.50 is too much to pay if it does. I saw one more on there, same seller, same price.
Let me know you aren’t interested in the other one. I may grab it up. I didn’t see the listing you mentioned.
Hopefully I won't need another one. Here's a link to the one on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1341080512...d=link&campid=5337789113&toolid=20001&mkevt=1

I bought the other one. Let me know if yours doesn’t work.
The OPDA arrived this morning, replaced the Crown sensor and she fired right up. Hope yours works too.
Nice Charlie!
Mine arrived this afternoon, but the wire is damaged right at the sensor so I requested a return.

Bummer. If I spot another one, I'll give you a heads up.
