Will a body lift in a stock TJ give me enough room to fit 32s?

Will a body lift on my Stock TJ give me enough room to put 32" x 11.5 tires on without rubbing? And if so, how much of a body lift would I need?

You really don't want a body lift taller than 1.25 or so. But to answer your question. 3 inch body lift will clear a 32 inch tire. I would rather you use budget boost spacers or another method to lift your jeep but in the end its your call

Thanks for the input, I wanna make the smartest decision.

You will be so much happier with a small body lift and a small budget boost. You can always go taller down the road with the budget boost. I personally hate any body lift over 1 inch or so.

I'd really like to get 32's on my jeep if possible with lout a suspension lift, if possible.

If everyone did that, there wouldn't be any discussions for new people. With that thinking I could just Google everything. But thanks for the input 🙂

You’re right on the money. Ignore the search Nazis. I deleted his post for him since it wasn’t contributing anything. A 1.25” body lift and some 1/2” spring spacers ought to do the trick.

Just a question..why 32? I know a few guys on here that have done builds based around a 31 inch tire and that is enough for 90 percent of jeep owners. Just my .02

Double check your current springs. If they are sagging, some of the suggestions above might not be enough. Most of above is based on a good stock spring.

Thats the kind of info I'm looking for. Can I still use my Stock shocks with the spring spacers. I just put new Bilstien 4600 series shocks on.

Because I like a wide tire and the 31 is only 10.5 but the 32 is 11.5. I just like a low but wide look

I see a slight lean on the passenger side and I'm sure I would need to replace the springs.

Not fond of body lifts so I replaced the sagging 20 year old springs with 2" lift coils, replaced the bump stops, added JK rims with 1.25" spacer adapters and 255/75/17s (32").

With a 1/2” spacer you should be able to use those shocks without issue. You’ll still want to measure and adjust bump stop correctly of course.

A stock TJ suspension works fine with 31" tires. That size tire comes standard on a Rubicon TJ which comes with a stock suspension height. A 32" tire only protrudes 1/2" taller upward from the axle than a 31" tire does so a 1" to 1.25" body lift gives more than enough additional room to accommodate 32" tires.

The added 11.5" width of 32x11.50 tires will be fine when the tires are mounted on aftermarket wheels which have reduced backspacing which moves the tire outward and away from the suspension.

This is EXACTLY the detailed feedback I was hoping for.... Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
