Will a body lift in a stock TJ give me enough room to fit 32s?

A 2" spring spacer (Budget Boost) is about the same price as a body lift and will clear a 32 fine. It will look better and be more functional than a body lift, in my opinion.

A stock TJ suspension works fine with 31" tires. That size tire comes standard on a Rubicon TJ which comes with a stock suspension height. A 32" tire only protrudes 1/2" taller upward from the axle than a 31" tire does so a 1" to 1.25" body lift gives more than enough additional room to accommodate 32" tires.

The added 11.5" width of 32x11.50 tires will be fine when the tires are mounted on aftermarket wheels which have reduced backspacing which moves the tire outward and away from the suspension.

Ya might have to throw in some washers to backspace the tire at full turn.

Here's former member's Jeep with 32s and a 1.25" BL only.

You would've really loved the Jeep I bought with 33s and NO lift. ;) I was lucky to make it home on the 2 hour drive.

Thats alot of tire... I wanna try to steer clear of messing with the stock suspension. I'm going to put new springs on along with that 1.25" body lift to get the 32's on to achieve the look I want, Low and Wide.

I see a slight lean on the passenger side and I'm sure I would need to replace the springs.

That is why I went with a 2" suspension lift. My 18 year old 150k mile LJ needed new springs and shocks already anyway. Then I put 32x11.50 KOs on the stock rims (I'm cheap) and put a washer in the steering stops. Looks good, is good....for me at least. I'm new to this and not ready to spend the kind of money a lot of people put into their rigs.

What wheels are you going to run, that plays an important part? Specifically the offset determines where you will have issues. You will rub hard on the front fenders at full stuff if you don't extend your bump stops. You will rub hard at full steering lock if you don't have wheels with larger offset but that will increase the fender contact. Aftermarket control arms or extended steering stop can help with the control arm interference. You will rub in the rear on the spring perches if you have stock wheels and run larger 32" tires, they aren't all the same size. Driving to the mall the only thing you'll notice is rub at full steering lock and you can just let off a bit when it rubs. On the trail you might be bending your fenders a bit or grinding bits off the rear tires. I run smaller 32" tires with stock wheels now and have for a few years and this is pretty much what I see.

I agree, I'm gonna do new springs with a 1" lift and a 1.25" body lift which "should" give me enough room for 32's x 11.5 KO's... I'm going for the low but wide look. I may consider wheel spacers if needed. But I'm told if my wheels offset is correct I should be fine.

Aftermarket wheels with 3.75" backspacing, which is probably the most common amount, will be fine. I would not add spacers. Sticking your wheels out too far will make it look like a skateboard.

Maybe with the stock wheel flares but I just bought Bushwaker pocket flares that extend out further. I'm trying to go for the low but wide look.... I'll see how it looks after I put the wheels / tires on.
