Post up your camping setups!

I felt like I was playing where’s Waldo…lol

Us too 😆 The floor over the tcase wasn't finished, so it would run up the driveshaft and get inside. You would think it was gone but it kept popping up in different places on the rear axle.

Last we saw it he was on a rear wheel hub when we took off 😃

This is our current fish camp setup. I use a contractor canopy with a sleeping platform and the side awning is key for wet camping and the spring bar tent for fam. Will be camping and wheeling next week.

Here's a shot of your trailer....

Thanks for the help! 🤣

I’m wiring it up to pull with the Jeep right now. Just finished the wiring on the Jeep side about 20 minutes ago. Heading out after tacos 🌮 to hook up the trailer side, an Autowbrake that works with any vehicle with a 7-pin. 🤩😊🥵

Then I can get some pics of it with the Jeep!

Not my photo, but this is exactly the same as mine - maker is Big Agnes and model is "Copper Spur". 3lb for a 2 person tent and it is one of the best pieces of outdoor gear that I have bought. I am more of the @jjvw school here - like to keep it simple and lightweight. Many times have slept on just a tent pad and my sleeping bag and at the right time of the year and right area, it's one of the best experiences to have.

We use to tent camp and still have a 2-person tent, portable toilet, basic camp stove, water purifier, etc... which I'll carry while wheeling (Just in case I have to sleep out with the TJ if it brakes and can't get parts until following day) and I would use this gear if remote wheeling trip/off the grid but with my age the majority of wheeling has resorted to day trips and if its a multi day trip will flat tow the TJ to site and have this rig to call home when not on the trails.

I previously lead wilderness hiking and canoe trips every summer and we'd carry 2-3 weeks worth of food and head out. I always preferred a bug net and tarp over a tent.

Fast and light seems to lend itself well to some of the most fun trips.

Usually I toss my backpacking setup in the jeep with a small cooler as my luxury item. Lightweight, simple, reliable. The only part i don't have dialed in yet is my sleeping bag. I really dislike mummy bags (just with how I sleep) so I will swap out the sleeping bag for wool blankets if the temperature allows.

I am reworking some of my kit slowly lowering weight, but my base weight is around 20lb of gear.

Yep, I use to roll up in a wobbie and use my jacket for a pillow. (If you don't know what a wobbie is? Not military. A wobbie is a poncho liner)
I've slept under my rig when it was raining out to help stay dry. But I ain't 30 or 40 anymore. So I'm with you, I'll take my creature comforts most of the time. I am willing to sleep in a tent or next to my Jeep now and then but prefer not to.

Look up enlightened equipment (out of Colorado). I bought mine from them years ago and it's held up great and I have not been gentle. It's not your traditional enclosed sleeping bag. Great people and fantastic lightweight gear, just read some reviews and you will see how many people like them.

Also - I do the exact same thing. My backpacking setup with a small cooler in the back of the jeep has served me well. I have no desire for anything more other than a tad bit more room in the TJ - but like Blaine says .. more space == more junk :ROFLMAO:

Everything I need for a long weekend, I can bring power with me if I need to. Figured out we can get 6 showers and wash dishes and stuff on 30 gallons onboard water. I bring a 5 gallon jug for drinking as well. We carry two gas cookers, a Blackstone and a grill. Folding tables and camping chairs in the cargo box with leveling blocks, electric cables, water hose and filter, etc etc. Works good for us and was very affordable compared to the other options.

What is on the roof aside from the 2 AC units?

The big thing is a storage box. I don't like it up there, but it is convenient. Its where I keep my extension cords and hoses, the rug to go under the awning, my patio chairs, and my blackstone...kinda like a utility shed. :D

My ideas around the retrofit of this thing swirl around extending the frame to the rear to house two mini-split compressors and a replacement for that storage compartment.
