I recently purchased a 2005 TJ that has been altered a good deal to make it a true “crawler”. I am totally new to jeeps, so bear with me. While I think the 3” Rusty’s long arm lift and other mods are very cool, I am concerned about the width of the jeep going up busy narrow trails and I am not looking forward to meeting an oncoming jeep that is as wide. The 33” tires probably have at least 1.5” wheel spacers and I am considering removing them, making the track 3” narrower. I don’t plan to do much crawling over boulders, just going up rough mountain trails. Will this be a problem, considering the common mods to make a crawler’?

NO, not fine at all. Who the hell wants their ball joints to live longer, steering that isn't all fucked up, and better "stability" offroad?
