Help with the SwayLOC

Those who are swapping an AR for SwayLoc, are you using your AR links or the supplied SwayLoc links? There was some discussion whether the heims were not good quality on those provided by SwayLoc.

That's certainly letting the tail wag the dog.

Thank you @mrblaine for the phone call. I got it all together and greased up. Appreciate you taking some time out of your busy day to help.

@Moglocker. That's what I was about to do when my requested phone call from mrblaine took place. I was about to pry open a slot but wasn't sure. MrBlaine's other advice helped me see it all. Then it came together. Thanks!

All I can say is WOW. The ride is soo much more stable after running an AR on the loosest setting. I set the SwayLoc on the 2nd slot from the front, so biased stiffer. I am already screeching tires around corners just to see what it can do! 😜

I've been driving mine the last few days single rate. In that configuration, it drives the way I think a lifted 4 dubya D should normally drive. Dual rate just makes it better, or more dangerous lol

Don’t follow the ORO installation instructions. 🤣

Install the bushings with supplied lube and big bar first. Get the odd shaped short arm and wedge it open while tapping it on the big bar with a rubber mallet. Then pinch it down with the supplied bolt so it won’t move. Then slide the big bar through the bushings. On the driver side wedge the arm and tap it on the big bar. Make sure both sides are perfectly even and use the bolt and nut to pinch it tight. Time for the small bar (torque bar). Grease the end with the hole (passenger side) and push it through from the passenger side. Wedge the arm again and tap it through. Use the bolt to pinch it tight. Finish the other side by wedging the arm and tapping it on. If everything is flush add your thin washer and zerk fitting bolt to the passenger side and tighten down. Add your grease to the zerk. About 2-3 squirts. You’ll see it come between the arms. Then the washer and bolt on the driver side. Set up your links to appropriate length for your lift.

Not too difficult when you see what’s happening. Thanks to Blaine for getting me to STOP looking at the idiot directions.
