I see Moog and an bunch like it then I saw iron rock off road has a buildable one then currie has there's but you have to weld one side ,,,I'm gonna change mine cause my 04 rubi DD has 160k on it ...looks like a bitch to do so I dont want to do it again an dont weld....

Well if you have rubber bushings in the control arms, I would go moog, if joints, then Currie and take it to some who welds.

The difficulty of changing the upper bushings is not as bad as some make it out to be. Drill out the rubber, crush the side of the bushing in and then just pop it out. The drilling and crushing are critical. To speed things up use the biggest drill bit that will fit between the outside of the bushing and the sleeve. If you attempt to press them out you will get nowhere fast. The last time I did a set it probably took less than 30 minutes. I found a dull chisel to be the best tool for crushing the side in. This is what the last one I pulled out looked like after removing it.

what did you put back in

can I use my cheap HF air chisel

I don't think I would attempt that. The sleeve isn't very strong and doesn't take much to collapse. It takes more finesse than force. I'd be concerned that an air chisel would just curl back the edge of sleeve vs crushing it in.

I have these photos saved from somewhere I think they are of the way Blaine does it with Johnny Joints. But am not positive. I am planning to do something like this on my dads Jeep.

That is beautiful.

The issue sometimes is the mount gets elongated and the bushing moves in it, so even a good bushing can allow unwanted movement....so these type mods fix all that.

I’ve done them in 2 of mine and loved they way it steered after.
