Showing my ignorance again regarding diff cover

Apparently, an entire tube of RTV - "The bigger the glob, the better the job!"
One tube has been used on four changes so far and might get another out of it. Only need enough for thin layer on clean surfaces.

My #1 priority for a replacement cover was that it have a friggin' drain plug. Now 5 people will line up and tell you that you don't need/want a drain plug - but I do, so that's what I got. A well used ARB for the rear, and a new Teraflex for the front. The Teraflex was actually affordable - but I suggest a repaint before mounting one as its paint has NOT held up well.

Chinesium paint does that.

And I'm sure it was just that. I got a good price on it from Amazon warehouse as the paint was missing from around a couple of the bolt holes, but otherwise looked great. Instead of just re-spraying the hole cover, I hit the bolt hole area and put it on! That's OK, it'll be coming off for my locker install, I'll repaint it then. Probably red.

Ill give my 2 pennies here. I watched a video done by Banks on diff covers. Buyer beware, you need something that will allow the fluids to circulate properly inside the unit or you will end up with overheating or improperly lubricating vital parts.

The second video is even better.

Yea, I figure its best to get a cover that has an inside profile similar to stock.
