I just bought my daughter a 2003 Jeep Wrangler sport and wanted to buy a hard top like what is in the picture. I want one that has the small more narrow side windows but I can’t find the one in the picture anywhere. Can someone help me with this. Thanks

That hardtop is for a TJ Unlimited. If you bought a TJ (not the Unlimited version) you aren't going to find a hardtop like that, period.

The TJ Unlilmited aka LJ is basically a stretched TJ. You can spot them with the longer rear bed area, or if they have a hard top the rear side windows are noticeably longer. You can also ID them based on the ridiculous price tag.

Thank you….. I am new to jeeps but my daughter has alway love them. So, I guess I better learn in a hurry lol. If you don’t mind me asking what is the difference between them? Below is a picture of the Jeep I bought.

There is no difference other than the TJ Unlimited (sometimes referred to as LJ) hardtop is about 11-12" longer and the glass is smaller vertically. Other than that though there is no difference.

The one in the photo you posted was painted aftermarket. They all came from the factory in either black, tan, or grey.

Any hardtop meant for a 97-2006 TJ (not the longer unlimited model) will fit. There were two designs that changed with an updated design in 2003 but all 97-06 tops will fit your 03. If you want one to match the red you will have to buy a black, grey, or tan one and have it painted. They are often for sale on craigslist, Facebook etc. Unless your Jeep came from the factory with a hard top it will not have the appropriate wiring for rear wiper, wash and defrost.

You seem to be looking for a factory hardtop that has been painted to match the body color.

nice, welcome to the forum ! and just so you know the prices on TJ hardtops are high unless your willing to drive up north where they have twice as many tops as they have jeeps

I actually like it. I never thought I would but I do, it also looks like it may have been sanded smooth as the factory ones are sort of textured

dark khaki

I always assumed the grey was simply dark khaki that had faded. I’m probably wrong though. We may as well just say it’s 50 shades of grey 😆

the red with grey ht is a really good looking color combo i think. i’ve seen original black fender flares so sun faded that they look almost like the flares on mine. can’t remember what color they’re called at the moment.

My favorite is @Nickgsjeep where he has yellow with a spice hard top. That combo looks so damn good!

have never seen that color combo, wonder if it was a factory combo? yellow with black ht is one of my favorites. could have bought a yellow one, but my khaki 06 only had 47k on it. not my first choice of color, but low mileage, extremely clean and bone stock except for 31” tires won me over.
