What did you do to your TJ today?

Picked up 4 new fender flares off CL for $50. šŸ˜ happy.
Spent 5 hours prepping, priming, and painting them stone white (pw1). Hit them with clear coat after they dried, and it turned them yellow ā˜¹ļøPissed!!!!
My oem black ones are in excellent condition, but I like the body color flare look.
Gonna try again this weekend to make this work.

swapped out the spiderweb shade for the bestop sun bikini. should have bought the bikini first.. head doesn't hit the shade anymore, the coverage is way better and no more spider-ben-wa-balls hanging everywhere is a plus

Nope. Soundbar. The dash speakers are 5.25 kickers. Holding up fine.
I did not know that underpowering a speaker could hurt it. Is that a thing?

Yep there are ohm's to consider too, lot more than just throwing a speaker in a hole.

You will get the same results if you use the wrong clear coat again. Did you go to Lowes and get a rattle can of clear or something?

No, actually used Dupli-Color Perfect Match Clear Coat as I used Dupli-Color PW1 stone white paint.

Man I know!

This kid would tear up an iron anvil with a rubber mallet.

Iā€™ve seen $10,000 dirt bikes bouncing down hills end over end, jeeps bellied on logs in god forsaken swamps at night, the list goes on and on.

I really knew better.

We need a beater for him- he is at the age (beyond it really ) where he can finance his own carnage.

Ummm trade????? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I understand impedance matching. Just never considered that running a speaker at 60% power would damage it.
Why is that?
Don't feel obligated to answer, I can use the Google machine.

No, you can't permanently damage your speakers by under powering them, but by not delivering the appropriate amount of power to the speakers, the signal may be disrupted leading to audible distortion.Mar 28, 2020.

Yeah, I googled it. Must've just had a bad speaker. They're pretty highly rated but the right one ran fine for a while and then started to sound like a bucket of hammered assholes at anything above about 15% volume.
Dunno, I'm happy with the new JBLs.

You don't damage a speaker running it under powered it just won't sound good and you think it sounds damaged. Just like a lot of things they need to match, like for instance you wouldn't run 40" tires with 3.08 gears , you might could get it to go down the road but your not going to like the performance. To put together a good sounding sound system the components need to match and work together , it's a matter of physics . I hope this helps , bigger is not always better.

Did a transmission mount in a 32 RH Sahara with @Jerry Bransford s advice, of course it went great. I used my ā€œwell Jerry told me to remove the ......ā€ line a lot, like we are real tight. šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜†.

Then got my 06 out and found some rocks.....my haircut is not a mohawk, just jeep hair after the sides got buzzedšŸ‘¶. Mom got my ears from a Mr. Potatohead set.

The guy in the back is Chris, he is a card. Pretty handy guy. Clinton the Sahara guy is behind the camera- I let him drove a lot tonight while I ordered parts so his will drive like that one šŸ¤‘. This TJ has been my best as far as getting good steering and road manners.

Not sure where that blue glow is coming from? Maybe that charger had an led ring I never noticed.

We had a good time. A tuesday night is as good a night as any to cut loose.....being alive to me is a special occasion.
