Washington Washington members that live to wheel

Well since my last update on the running status of my jeep, I found more problems, fixed them, found more, fixed more, and found more again, then fixed them too.

So as of Saturday evening it’s been road worthy again and I even drove it to work this morning

Ok, guys.
Trip delayed by a few days but heading out now for two days of camping and wheeling.
Again, I'm not familiar with the place too much, but we'll be camping at camp 8 mile, and heading to wheel from there.
I'll be following someone in, so I can't describe how to get there, sorry.
If anyone wants to go play, look for us.
I could monitor cb in case anyone interested in getting together.
Not sure what channel, maybe 21.
Ok, that's the plan. Hope to see someone there...
Mike

I'll throw myself into the mix here. Picked up an unmolested 2005 TJ Sport in June and slowly getting her out onto the trails. Have found this forum to be a great resource as I'm starting to wrench. Thanks to all!
Just got back from a great weekend over in Naches-Manastash. Stock height, 30's, and noob-ness--but had a blast!

Welcome! Naches-Manastash is a great place for everyone of all skill sets. Always have fun there.
What part of the state at ya from?

I'll second the Welcome also. I started wheeling in the Naches area back in 1998 and still love being able to get up in the area and wheel.

Nice looking TJ BTW.

Thanks guys. I plan to spend plenty more time over there in the Naches area. It’s spectacular country!
Mumblewood, I’m not far from you, Seattle Eastside—Kent/Covington.
Wildman, thanks, I agree, she’s a looker! Love the Solar Yellow! :)

Hopefully I'll have mine done this century so I can get back up there and enjoy the trails.

Heading to Naches on Oct 22-23.
Disclaimer this is an adult run, we usually do this in mid November (and may do it again then) but this run we all leave are kids at home.
It will be our annual night run, but some of us (myself included) will trailer over to setup camp early on the 22nd

Here is how it will go

A few of us will head over Saturday morning to somewhere off little Naches river road, and set camp. Then we will take the gravel road back across the pass and meet the rest of the group Saturday evening in Enumclaw. We will grab dinner there and supplies.
At some point we will head out to hit the “wagon trail” and run it back to camp.
We will then wake up on the 23rd and head to Whistlin jacks for breakfast. After that…I don’t know, maybe the rocks(funny/moon) for a bit before heading home, or just head home after breakfast depending on how we feel.
This is a hard run to predict. Sometimes we hit camp by 11:00 pm that day, sometimes 7:00 Am the next morning.
Anyways as stated above this is an ADULT run. So read between the lines. Not that all of us are going to go hard, but if anyone is interested, I want to be transparent.
It is always a blast though and if you think ya may want to tag along just let me know and I’ll give ya more details when I know. Z

This sounds like a blast. Would love to tag along but have plans already on 22 October that I can’t bail on.
Is the “wagon trail” 4W684?
Love the concept of the night run!

I'd be in on the Naches run, but I have work early Oct 23.

I’m super bad with trail#’s (except for 676)
But if starting from the west side it starts just past when FR70 turns to gravel and ends on little Naches river road.
We’ve been doing the “sleepless run” since 2006 which me and another one of my friends got the idea’s from the clubs we grew up in so I’ve doing it since 1984.
It is a lot of fun but I really like doing it in mid November, the weekend the trail closes. At that time there’s usually snow on the ground and it makes the trail pretty tough.

If there’s enough interest, my arm would not have to be twisted too hard to lead another group around then…??..

Sounds like the Tamer's "Red Eye Run"
