Brought my TJ for some work a months back. One item that needed attention was the desire to level out the front rake. I had what thought were front spring isolators and was adding a set of Daystar 3/4" spacers to level things out.

As I later find out, what I thought were the OE isolators were actually 3/4" spacers which the shop removed and in favor of the ones I provided. Net.. no change in rake. And, I am missing front isolators.

So, back to the shop we go, this time on their dime. Isolators seem to be fairly innocuous and inexpensive. Any suggestions as to which to buy or do I just go with the least expensive OE isolators i can find? Basically a lump of rubber...

Grab the Moog listed above. I used them to replace the OEM's when I installed new springs. Can't say I've ever given them a second thought since installing them so I suppose they are doing exactly what a round piece of rubber should.

Seeing that link from @Ocho makes we wonder what the difference is between an isolator and a spacer. Especially if @MikekiM mistook one for the other.
Taking a poke at this. Maybe the isolator has contours to seat the upper curl of the spring. The spacer is a smooth rubber disk that, as I understand, fits into the top of the isolator.

having said this.. I may be wrong.

And to be candid.. looking at them from the side, they both look like a 3/4" rubber disk.

Factory isolator has a metal insert inside of it. I believe two different brands of spacers i have purchased stated that they go on top of isolators

Did we ever decide what you actually need and do you need both-

Ive got one that creaks a tad when flexed

I didn't see anything on the isolators to seat the springs, I stacked one (which are 3/4") on top of my OEM one to level out

Looks like the LJ might have a different isolator on top of the rear springs. Different than the front anyway. Looks to be more flat and wide.
