Any tips on what this might mean? Whenever I idle for too long the light comes on. Once I'm moving again it shuts off.
Yeah that was my initial guess. Does that include the "check gauges" light or does it have to do more with oil pressure? What does it mean? Big boom coming your way. Too much of this and it's going to be a steam shower and the sounds of a bag of hammers.

BTW in the meantime you should turn on you

BTW in the meantime you should turn on your heat full blast to assist in cooling the engine when temps start creeping up.

Thanks for the suggestion on the heat, it's mitigating some!
Overheating only at idle indicates the fan is not functioning properly which usually means the fan clutch has gone bad. At highway speeds air flowing through the radiator keeps it cool. But when idling, there's no air from driving so the fan has to provide the cooling air flow. Check the fan thermostat for correct operation. Without the engine running, try spinning the fan when the engine is cold, like after the first start of the day. It should be very stiff and hard to turn. It should be easy to turn when the engine is hot. If it's not stiff and hard to turn when the engine is cold replace the fan's clutch.
