What did you do to your TJ today?

I may do that, at some point😀

And when you do, you'll look back on this conversation with extreme hatred or extreme gratitude. Hatred if you didn't do the adjusting first, gratitude if you did based on what you just learnt.

You'll be sitting there looking at a box full of painted fasteners that hold the fenders on trying to figure out how to install them without chipping the paint off of the corners and then the light bulb will shine brightly.

Blaine, why would anyone here hate you? Sure you seem like a grumpy old guy (I’ve been called this) but you give out so much valuable information here and good products AND service through your business.

Not saying I won’t challenge something or another you say in the future but the answer to your either/or is grateful.

Oh, and just because I don’t respond for a while (re: @Woodrow et.al.- a thread that got taken down before I saw it) doesn’t mean I’m not interested in engaging. I love debating. It’s almost always educational as long as one is interested in the back and forth as opposed to hearing themselves talk. I have a job that is very demanding of my time and attention so I sometimes get pulled away from recreational stuff for weeks.

Life is a mystery.

Just bought my 10th Jeep today for $1800 and is an almost identical twin to my personal TJ. 4.0 5-speed, clean body rust wise but needs some frame repair on one control arm mount but is solid everywhere else. I think I might throw a 6.2 I have lying around in this and build this up as a more serious off-roader. It even came with tube doors!

Got it up in the air so I can check all the nuts and bolts to make sure they are properly tightened.
Recently swapped the axles to Dana 44s and took it out for its initial break-in last weekend. It worked well but there seem to be some excessive rattles and clunks when I was bouncing around the rocks.

And obviously I need to check everything anyway.

I love this QuickJack. However the frame on the TJ is so short that originally when it was lifted , it was hitting the lower control arm mounts before it touched the frame. But a couple bucks worth a 4 x 6 solve that problem.
