I detached my anti sway bars before a trail ride to give better articulation to wheels. The bars were easy to detach without any tools by hand. Now after a difficult trail ride in Moab Ut the bar after being pulled back to reattach hangs down way below cotter pin insertion hole. Why is this happening. Could my springs have somehow changed that much during my rock climbing adventure? I have had to work with them a little after each trail ride in the past when they were off a half inch by putting tire up on a small rock. But this time the cotter pin attachment hole is hanging like 4 inches below where it needs to be. What am I missing here? I hate to adjust them up if they need to remain at same length as prior like I believe.

Did you take off both sides?

If so, then push the bar back up to align both holes.

If one arm is attached and the other hole is off by 4 inches you have a problem.

What anti-swaybar?

We have used one of the doors to lift up or pull down to realign the pin and holes.. but parking level was always our first option. It took two people to accomplish this trick... eventually we installed a Antirock bar, and have been very satisfied in not disconnecting ever again as we could set it once and never looked back.. problem solved.

Level ground and shut your tailgate with the spare hanging off it. You can have someone stand on the rocker guard.
