Impact Jack (LJ Rubi build)

Finished up everything today except Welding the new box over the steering skid. It will be done in the next couple days and we will bolt it on. I just need to avoid smashing on rocks until then. This is the first Jeep I have owned with hydro assist and what a huge difference.

Finally the Eaton E-Locker for the Dana 60 is available. Will be delivered today. We will be moving along with 5.38 Yukon gears, Hardcore locking hubs and eLockers. Very much looking forward to it after a many month wait.

We are installing an Undercover Fab engine/trans skid. One of the reason I chose this one is to take advantage of the 1" extra clearance from the MML. Skid is very strong. The factory trans skid was removed when doing 3 link and the oil and trans pans were very exposed. Both were dented up previously. Replacing the trans pan but the oil pan seems fine. Installed a Stahlbus drain valve before we install skid. Valve seems very simple and tough.

We finished the UCF engine/trans skid tonight. It was very straight forward and took about 90 minutes. This skid is very solid and would recommend for anyone. Very proud of the progress we have made on my Jeep in the last 6 months.

We finally got some time to install rear locker. It is a factory Ford eLocker from F250 and 350 2012+. It fits all years Sterling axles. We have the final wiring to do in dash but should have it done in next few days. A group of friends is heading to Windrock on Oct 19th and have some final projects I want to get done. I have a belly skid coming from UCF and we are going to install the Yukon Hardcore locking hubs soon. More progress

We got the wiring and switches done in the dash. We removed the switches for the hard top and the factory Rubicon axle locker button. None of which is used anymore. Front locker switch and compressor switch was installed for future use. I do have a Eaton eLocker for the Dana 60 front but haven't installed yet. Front is welded though so at least I have a locker.

Got the full skid/tuck completed. The belly skid has probably been moved up 4-5" since I bought the Jeep. It had 2" spacers on skid when I bought it. Removed the spacers during Phase 1. Now that we pushed the skid even higher with the UCF kit, my rear driveshaft was binding. I ordered a new DS from Tom Woods and should be here in a couple days. Bottom pic is after spacers were removed but before new Transfer case skid installed. I don't think I have a pic of t-case skid before spacers were removed. Installed the UCF LoPro trans mount to drop down the transfer case into skid further.

I received the new Tom Woods rear drive shaft. I got it installed tonight except I need to install the U-bolt kit that was supposed to be sent with it. I will get it from O'Reillys tomorrow. I ordered it with the extra Long splines(X) because it is a LJ and it makes it more flexible and should last longer.
