Hi All,
I am installing a new banks stainless cat back exhaust system on my 2003. I got everything in place and bolted it up, however when testing for leaks, I noticed a small leak at the cat to muffler connection. I tried tightening the nuts a ton and it helped but still a small leak, i dont want to tighten them any more. Any gurus with some ideas? RV sealant?

thanks. yeah i know i can always get it welded somewhere. but looking for some things that worked for others. it doesnt seem like the muffler sits in the cat flange very flush. can i add a gasket? or some sealant, its a really small leak

Disassemble and examine the area where the leak is located; the area may be warped or have a gouge, debris in that area.
