Spare tire mount

Then it's a shame I got rid of my swing out for being heavy, noisy, and constantly in the way of rocks and trees. Along with being a pain to use when accessing the rear of the Jeep.

What is abundantly clear are the types of problems you have encountered with your Jeep along with the solutions you have come up with to address them. Or the lack thereof. Which is fine. Not everyone has the same wants and needs with regard to functionality. The reality so far, is that your insights are quite useless for me.

Merely added my conclusions based on what was provided. You do whatever you like or need for your situation. I simply pointed out that if the tire is not supported by some means it will be stressful on the tailgate.

Jeez .. the rate at which you are shooting your mouth here .. I think I better understand the legend of the Florida man.

I have just expressed my opinions based on facts and have suffered endless personal attacks. Remind me again what your post has to do with anything in this thread. Should have reserved some of your "jeez" for the others if you just felt the need to respond...or simply stfu.

The "jeez" was also for your needlessly complicated idea of a scissor jack.

Other than "purdy", what exactly is functionally wrong with jjvw's implementation? You cannot even articulate it, and all you have done here is attack people yourself .. you reap what you sow.

Other people have solved this with better thought our solutions compared to your "idea". So go back to your drawing board, and actually think this time before asking me to STFU.

You're another one of those guys who was just on his way to church and stopped to compliment the old ladies at the park when a bunch of internet bullies came out of nowhere!

Funny that you see it that way, because to my eye the first post in this thread that even approached a personal attack was this one:
It is not hard to comprehend that if the tire is not resting on the bracket it is useless...unless something gives way. Plain to see the tire is NOT resting on said bracket. You do the math. Oh, I totally get it...monkee see, monkee do.

Said the guy with the blocked profile…

What am I seeing here with that hitch? Is it bolted and pinned to the receiver?

Maybe the bolts are outside of the receiver.
