Someguys 04

can't catch a break in the weather, it's been total crap since last wk.

i did get the truck in the back yard between rain showers yesterday and tested the lamps..........i had 2 wires crossed in the box.........oh, no i didn't they mislabeled them, but i got it figured and all the lamps check out fine.
went over all the nuts and bolts and checked for tight and/or torque, all good.

i'm reluctant to buy any lumber, i don't have room to store it inside. this needs to be bought, fit and treated in a day or 2 in fair weather. i don't care about temps, it's the moisture i don't want. i'm on it as soon as i have a dry window to work.

Nate from Dirt Lifestyle found out that some plugs & wiring boxes are wired differently. I say some posts about this somewhere else too but can't remember where right now.

well i guess i was pushin it to quick and the rona pushed back. it really put me on my ass for a few dys. starting to recover but just can't kick the now wk long headache and the dry cough.

i managed to get a fair bit done yesterday eve, just 1 board left. i need 1 more 10"er, that i'm goin for in the morn. once that's down i'm gonna box my storage bin edges with some 2x1x1/8. then that's kind of it's own little thing left to finish up with a floor and lid. that aluminum is still there if i can make time.

my dumbass forgot about safety chains, so i got and order in for those with weld on tabs as well as some weld on anchors for the tie downs.

probably missed out on quite a bit around here..........fill me in if it's worth it.

deck is finished, i might put some kind of other finish to it if weather allows but it's on there.

framed the cargo area, gonna take the pieces to work and punch the holes for mounting and paint it there where it might have time to dry when the machines warm the place up. now i have to make time to fetch that aluminum sheet.

this top/lid needs to be about 68x24.....steel even aluminum that size and then the thickness needed for stiffness makes either choice kinda heavy. need to see what i can come up with. i don't need high security just out of site coverage, maybe some type of siding panel.

took that frame to work welded it up and got it shot with flat black, ready to come home tomrw.
waitin on parts to arrive ..... those safety chains.
and that black and blonde/green wasn't hittin me right so i opted for the only color i like that wouldn't make me look like a picnic table or barn and that was darkest midnight it's supposed to be a semi transparent but after 2 coats it's just freakin black. so it's all murdered out now.

i'll gets pics up tomrw.
as soon as those chains get put on it's ready for a test run (storage bin finished or not).

1st run on it around the block a few times.......pulls true, follows right on my ass it's so short and it's quiet, not alot of noise from it at all. i guess the next step is see if it'll hold my jeep.

Doing a check on you... Where have you been? Everything OK? @someguysjeep

been on the dark side for the last couple months. works gotten unbelievably retarded. had covid 2x now and the 2nd time it really took something from me. i have no energy to do much and been real cranky, so i been away so's not to spread the dread, nobody likes a Debbie downer.

tryin to get out of it.......being grounded to the house for winter is not helping. i need a space to work .................i need to relocate and find a job i can have some satisfaction and fulfillment from......... being forced to build trash isn't gettin it.

Glad to know you're still kicking and screaming. Sarry to hear that you go the crud again. I totally understand the lack of energy and being cranky part. Was just a little concerned about you since we hadn't seen a post for a while.

Hang in there and hope things get better soon.

day after my last post my computer took a dump. got another now but have lost all my build pics and product info downloads i had stored. so this will start another story from this point on, i guess.

found an issue i dont care for on the fuel cell, something with the heavy clear silicone tube not sealing to my liking. fuel evaporation is causing an oily condensation in the tube this migrates down and sits on the filler neck rim, then this residue migrates past the clamps. plural cause i have placed 2 on there as tight as possible and it still migrates past um. it's not raw fuel there is no issue when filling, this is what condensates in the tube. it doens not smell like fuel and it's just an oily residue but it bugs me and needs attention.

trailers good still need to finish my storage space but it's pretty much good to go i think. battery died in the jeep, i think i got a vampire somewhere suckin juice when i'm not running. not sure what it could be but need to find it.

tryin to get my head better, things been tough, works really been difficult to put up with things are so F'd up it's just a matter of time b4 somebody sues the crap out if us for breach of contract. they can't even get the right colors on frames anymore it a wild joke. jobs supposed to be galvanized they just painting silver,,,,,,,can't believe we're still doing any business.

so I'm back i'll be bugging ya'll again............ready or not.

Did you have anyone try to recover the drive? A lot of times, the drive can still be read, and you can get the data off it. It just won’t boot the computer because it has a bad section where the boot data lives

He's back!

Hopefully he can get the drive back.

I may be able to help if there is noone nearby...

Good to see you back, love watching your work unfold. You're wild doing this kind of work a few days after catching the rona, I was in the couch for a week at least.

well things have taken a turn for the worse. after my last post i got put on OT at work with a special project on the robots and it beat me down bad. i've made like 11000 parts in the last few months at a beast pace with heavy pieces and its ruined me.

my back started really bothering me after this last round of the rona, i've had issues for yrs so not really a big deal but its gotten so much worse now. about mid march i stared loosing control of my left leg with random regularity, it cuts out on me and i fall down. it just goes dead......by by, nothin there, cant feel it, cant move it. it can take from few seconds to a couple minutes for it to come back.
then about mid april i pulled something in my mid back, felt like i had broken my ribs. after a month of not much sleep [couldn't lay flat] i finally went and got checked out...................
straight away they sent me for an MRI that has revealed 5 bulged disks, 3 of which are herniated badly and several nerves being pulled and crushed. i'm wrecked bad from T11 all the way down to L2.
ain't been able to do much of anything.... reserving all i got just to make it to work [can't not have an income], but i come home every day almost unable to even get out of the truck after the ride home.
have to go see a neurosurgeon next wk...............and though i'm a grown ass man i'm scared to be cut. 1 wrong move and i could be worse off forever.

jeeps not even made it out of the garage this yr yet and IDK if it will
