Front Track Bar Clearance

@Chris snowflake cries for help. 🤣

@Chris I cry for help indeed. New guy came asking for advice on clearance and everyone inaccurately told him his jeep will never be anything without a lift and other nonsense. I tried to stick up for a new guy and actually answer his question instead of telling him he wasted money and his jeep is shit.

I joined this forum because this exact part of the forum "About" sounded nice:

One thing that really bothers me with so many other forums is the general feeling of hostility you encounter as a new member. Go to almost any other forum and post a frequently asked question, and you'll typically be met with replies such as "Learn how to use the search feature!", and other rude remarks. I blame this on a lack of good, activemoderators. In addition, I've noticed that the moderators and staff at those forums don't seem to care about this overall hostile behavior from other members. I can't even begin to tell you how many other forums I used to visit have been overrun with drama and juvenile behavior. Spend a few days around this forum and you'll find that it is not like that in any way, nor will it ever be. We don't tolerate that type of behavior here and never will, plain and simple. The most you might need to enjoy this place is a good sense of sarcasm and dry humor (especially when dealing with Blaine).

I see though that this isn't actually the way anyone here intends to behave, so I want out. Please remove my account so I can go elsewhere and try to be friendly to new people asking simple questions. Might consider updating your "about" second to explain the real good-ol-boys club and politics that have overrun this forum.

We already have one. Hardcore Tech.
I'll take the a$$hats that actually know what they're talking about any day of the week.

Funny how quickly people turn to ad hominem when they find themselves in the wrong.

I'd be already gone if they made it easy to delete an account from this godforsaken hellhole from the mobile site.

@Chris, so and so wants his account deleted. He can't keep track of what his complaints are. 🤣

Ask and you shall receive. You’re now gone 👍

My last post on this thread because I've totally had it with the utter lack of hospitality towards this poor guy, but to those of you claiming it absolutely isn't possible to have a good TJ on 33s without lifting, I have a photo for you.

Take a look at the distance between axle centerline and bottom of frame rail. (that is how lift is defined after all, right?)

Now yes, this is rolling a bit in the corner, but I happen to know a great amount of detail about that chassis setup, and I can tell you that the "lift" is very very small.

And those don't look like 33s.

If you don't know this car, look it up. I think its performance speaks for itself.

More than one way to build a TJ indeed. You don't have to go down to get uptravel. Up is an option too if you are willing to do some big boy work.

Oh yeah, because that looks like the TJs that most people here are attempting to fit 33s on with no lift.

How did I miss this 🙄🤦🏻

How did this thread get this far and no one noticed he does not have a stock track bar?

Sorry about that. This forum is an outstanding source of good info for TJ building and maintenance. The abrasive presentation from some members can be off putting. Its work that you wish you didn't need to do, but often filtering through the responses can uncover valuable info based on real experience which is very helpful (this thread is an example of that). Good luck.

The sad part is they are proud of their antisocial behavior.

This not accurate anymore.
