New Metalcloak Products!

I thought these were a joke, but no, it was posted on Facebook by MC.

I've always wanted a nice rattle can rack...

When I first saw the 'shelf bracket' I was thinking, wait! You can mount these on the engine and grill things on the trail. Oh no, it's an actual wall mounted shelf bracket. I guess that's what I get for assuming some of these are Jeep parts.

Theses are all for your enclosed trailer.

thanks. makes sense. probably more reliable than making my 7 year old hold the other end 😂

Haha yeah. My wife always seemed annoyed at the task and to do it myself involved two feet of masking tape holding my tape measure to a floor jack. A few times of that and I decided to find a better process.

The one that keeps the squirrels away, only better?

My "squirrel trap" gets rid of them permanently and even disposes of the remains for me. (y)

Alignment tool is cheaper than else where, wait for holidays and it will mostly likely be cheaper and free shipping.

It is one thing to not like or disagree with something, what you all doing here is nothing but a clown shit show.... fanbois mocking fanbois

if this was currie or savvy 90% of these people would be all over this stuff. it’s like the pot calling the kettle black. smdh!

one thing about some forum members is that they are very brand biased and don’t like to be told so.

Other than engine and certain drivetrain components, there is little from Mopar worth fawning over. This has everything to do with form and function. The same reason these alleged fanboys gravitate towards certain other products.

Would you like to share with the class a suitable substitute for Currie/rockjock springs that have a comparable free length and collapsed length I can use for 50/50 split 12” travel shocks?

What about an under armor system comparable to savvy? One with an aluminum skid plate with an independent crossmember that acts as a brace instead of just an aluminum skid designed like a steel skid like every other manufacture? How about a 1.25” body lift that doesn’t squish and cost me the clearance I just paid for? An easily installed suspension with better geometry than the savvy midarm with no clearance compromises? I’d love to see some examples. Seriously. It would be great to have more options.

It has nothing to do with brand loyalty and everything to do with finding products that have well thought out details, and fit a no compromise build philosophy. Building and understanding a high quality TJ for both the road and the trails is a very small niche market. Most brands are more focused on newer platforms and seem to not put enough thought into the TJ products. If you have good alternatives to some of the popular Currie and savvy products that we like, and a solid rationale for why they are comparable, then post them up. Until then, the fan boy shit is disingenuous.

If what you care about is marketing and popularity, then Skyjacker and Rough Country has them both beat. Are you going to make the swap to those?

Welcome to the forum, btw...

not to mention 1 of these companies doesn't care to pay someone to answer emails when their out of town at an event and 1 is selling 100$ birdbaths. Clearly 1 is dedicated to making profit. 1 could clearly care less. Sales volumes and logo proliferation are not indicative of success, it depends on their objectives. Rough country as stated above is an excellent example, they beat out metalcloak by a long shot depending on your measure of success.

I would accept "Savvy sells less stuff" or "Savvy is less popular" but "metalcloak won" or "savvy lost" is an unqualified statement, they're not even running the same race. I could as easily say "Savvy won" the 4500 and 4600 class at king of the hammers depending on year...

Thank you to the OP for the post and all the great comments. 🤩 None of this would be worth it if we couldn't have fun every once in a while. The "Because We Can" collection (sometimes knows as "Maybe We Shouldn't") is just a fun way to do things in between big projects... they make great gifts and our 1100 Authorized Installers across the country love getting them as shop perks.

BTW, inside scoop, the Bird Feeder Hanger 🐦was made for our CEO's own back yard, it launched for fun on April 1st last year... and was a hit... inspiring the whole damn collection. 🤷‍♂️

Cheers! 🍺
