I remember the dodge/Chrysler slant 6 being praised by my dad as a kid. I see it made the list, I knew of it in the Dodge Dart.

Chevy built inline sixes from 1929 till 1988. powering everything from 1929 to 1955.
Seems to me the import fanboy , doesn't know history. O well .

I'll take the Supra.

So, #10 is the Ford 300 straight six, which they show a picture of...followed by a Bronco II which never had a straight six in it, ever! And the Cologne V6 that the Bronco II did have in them was a POS. At least they got a few of the other ones right.

I noticed that. The 2.9L in my bronco II was certainly a turd. I had big ideas about 5.0 swapping it but I ended up just selling it and buying an LJ.

You gonna watch Hillbilly’s Bronco build on Robby Layton’s channel?

I haven't seen the recent one yet but it's in my watch later list. I grew up with Fords so it always gets my attention when I see them. I still think it would be fun to take a bronco II and do a 5.0 swap, then 3/4 link it and beat on it without remorse.

I don’t know much about the Broncos but Hillbilly seems like he’d appreciate a good build. They mentioned tons but we’ll have to wait and see.

I disagree with their method of classifying I-6 and V-6 together. Different characteristics.

My list would include the MB inline 6 from the W107, BMW M20 and M30, Chevrolet 258.

That Dodge/Cry slant 6 is a tank of an engine. My 68 Dart had it and while not quick, it hummed along without complaint. Never had an issue, no leaks, etc. The last roaches will be driving it when the earth is said and done.
The early Jag 6 is another beauty, sure some of the supporting bits are suspect, but it's a sweet engine.

My step-dad had one that threw a rod one day. He drove it about 20 miles home afterwards and we were in awe watching the crank spin through the fist-sized hole in the block.
