In memoriam of a 2004 TJ sport. Born 2004 - Died 2022 at 180k miles.

It hit an unmovable object (3ft tree stump) at around 30mph. The Jeep suffered terminal damage, including a right frame rail that bent like a wet noodle, bent front axle, smooshed hood and fenders, and a twisted windshield frame. Broke the front driveshaft right out of the diff. Decided to shed its doors in the process.

A truly reliable Jeep, off to pasture. Hopefully parts from it will help other Jeeps live on. It actually started right back up and ran fine.

My Brother was fine. Didn't even have a scratch on him. The seatbelt and roll bar definitely protected him very well. Its actually pretty amazing.

Pour one out boys.

It is sad when they leave us so soon….

Glad no one was hurt.

Glad your brother is Ok. How are those full doors?

The doors survived. One fell off after the Jeep came to rest on its roof, but just a few small scratches.

I saw it listed on Copart. It sold recently, but I can't see how much it sold for. I know insurance paid out way way more than I thought they would.

I'm glad everyone was ok. I too have hit a tree or two. They don't give. I know she's already gone, but I can't help but see a perfect candidate for a stretched TJ on wontons.

I actually wanted to buy it back. The tub was nice, interior was mint, and the drivetrain was rock solid. It really just needed a frame, front axle, and a windshield frame to be mint again. The front fenders and hood were rough but useable for the time being.

Oh well.
