Topsy Hardtop Brackets

Has anyone used these brackets that mount to the rear window mounting points? I am making a custom hardtop lifting device and I think this would help with what I want to do, but I am not sure on the structural integrity of that being used as a mounting point.

If I show you a picture of that nut plate busted out of the 'glass work in the hinge recess, will you promise to do it another way?

Generic for the material the top is made from which is not really fiberglass.

Gotcha, well I lurking enough on here I can tell you know a lot from personal experience. I guess ill go back to plan A and make my own T bar lifting device like whats commercially out there for the full hoist kits and hook that to my electric hoist.

These are ripped out the the 'glass from the owner going to set it on some sawhorses with window down. He dropped it a few inches and it landed on the lower edge of the lift gate glass. It did not break the glass but it did blow the hinge nut plate out. I wouldn't really trust it for much more than the lift gate. It isn't very robust at all.
