I drove my jeep a week before it just stopped on me. Didn't drive it cuz I needed to put my hard top back on. It doesn't start or crank. It doesn't show a fuel level on the dash. Can that mean it's a bad fuel pump? I had a bad starter about 6+ months ago and I hit it with a hammer and it worked fine but now it's not starting again and hitting it didn't do anything. I sent videos to help diagnose it.

Some of the things I already did are jump starting, charging the battery, trying to bypass the neutral safety switch. Is it a starter? Can it be an ecu? I really need more input as my last post didn't get any traction what so ever.

If your starter gave prior trouble and hasn't been replaced, that makes it very suspect.

If you have a manual transmission, you could try to push it off to start it. (That leaves the starter out of the equation.)

If you are handy with a multimeter, you could check and see if the starter is getting voltage when you try to start it. If it is getting electricity and not turning, then starter is most likely the problem. If it isn't getting electricity, then you have to work your way back up the circuit diagram to determine why.

How about some information on your jeep?
Year?
Engine?
Transmission?

I could guess, but I don't want to.

Have you done gauge test to see if your gauges are working correctly? - Probably not related to the issue.

Otherwise have you:

Downloaded the fsm?
Load tested the battery?
Inspected the battery terminals for corrosion?
Checked for voltages at the asd?
Tested the starter? And not with a hammer, either.
Inspected your actuator pin?
Tested the ignition switch?

I am new here and my 03 is being a pain. I have been told to try jumping the Neutral safety before I try replacing it. Can anyone tell me which connector under the hood is the one to put the jumper in to test it?
