Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Do people shrink wrap their RVs ahead of snow down there? This was new to me, but pretty ingenious

I've never seen anyone do that, but I've been looking at getting a cover for it. Covered RV parking is uber expensive if you can even find some place that has it.

The good part of going away for a few days means that when I come home all the parts I've ordered will be here. I need that one fitting I'd messed up to make the line from the filter to the fuel tank. And the other items I've ordered will be here too. I've got some interesting things going to happen on my rear axle. And those last of those parts will be here tomorrow.

It’s a lot less expensive than a water damaged RV! I’m looking at getting one from here, they’re pretty reasonable priced and nice. My grandpa had one.

If I had a spot to put one I'd seriously think about doing that but the way my property is laid out I don't have the room. A cover is the next best thing and at least does help to keep damage from happening.

Only worked on the Jeep for a while today. But I got the fuel line separators installed.

I've got enough left for the fuel lines to the fuel tank. I worked on some other odds and ends before I went out to work on the motorhome.

It's trying to snow right now. So when I get home from helping my mom I've got to get the garage reorganized so that I can get the motorcycle inside.

I'm out of here to go help my mom out. I'll be online every now and then. I'll be working on my TO-Do List while I'm gone and should be home Sunday afternoon. Then have a doctor's appointment on Monday. After that I should be able to dedicate most of my time to the Jeep.

Got some parts in for the rear axle and will be showing you all my Super-Secret mod I've been planning. I think you'll will like it.

Thanks Jeff.
Great to spend some time with my mom and catch up. Haven't visited much over the past 2 years due to COVID.
At the VA right now for a appointment with the new foot study I'm in. Then tomorrow load the U-Haul and drive to Tri-Cities.

Got the truck loaded this morning and left Everett by noon. Hit Snoqualmie pass and it was raining and windy but no snow on the roadway thankfully. It was closed yesterday from 2200 and didn't reopen until 0500 today. So we lucked out.
Almost had a car sideswipe me on the east side of the summit. when they hit a BIG puddle and lost control.

Got to my mom house in Pasco around 1630 and will unload the truck tomorrow and then I'll return the truck Sunday and Yakima and my daughter will pick me up.

Then I'll be back to working on the Jeep.

You’re a good son, Rick.

I'm back home finally. I've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow so won't be able to work on the Jeep until Tuesday. Then might have to go to the VA sometime this week also but won't know until later.

The one fitting I'd ordered is running late due to the pass closures. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow.

@NashvilleTJ I think I remember you saying that you'd installed a catch can system on your Hemi. Are you going from the PCV valve to the intake tube after the air cleaner?
Been looking at different ways that people have hooked them up so just trying to figure my system out. Hate to have to drill a hole in the base plate of the air cleaner setup but I think it's the only way if I need that suction of the intake.

This is the Catch Can I got coming. The other one I'd ordered is just too big for me to find a spot for it.

On my Hemi, there is a stock breather fitting on the intake manifold (actually, on the oil filler cap assembly) which went to the stock intake body. I went from that fitting (which is not the PVC valve, nor a valve at all as far as I know) to the catch can, and then to the intake tube just in front of the throttle body. In the four years I've had it in there, I finally got a drop or two of oil out of the thing a few months ago.

Hard to see, but here it is:

Thanks.

I'm looking at options for the routing of the brake line for the rear axle. I've got two options so far. One uses a 90⁰ banjo fitting and puts the line behind the spring pad.

Then the flex line would come over the axle and end on the back of the spring pad.

The other option is a straight banjo fitting and the flex line would run under the front of the spring pad.

I can add a clamp if needed under the spring pad.

Thoughts and suggestions?

Whichever is easier to get the lines around your truss and other bits.

Either way is fine. I might be over thinking it but I thought it was better to have the line up out of the way. Less chance of it getting snagged by something?

I've got a Secret Squirrel thing going on with the rear brakes. But that's only to be revealed once I get this part figured out. I've got the weld on brake tabs so I can put the line pretty much anywhere it fits.

I'd think the back of the axle is less prone to contact, so that's where I'd run mine. Granted where it is located (near the wheel) isn't as exposed as it could be.

Then I would go behind.
