New shocks. boots or no boots?

I run my shocks without boots. It is personal preference with a mind toward avoiding entrapping mud and debris that could cause corrosion

That being said, the prior owner of my jeep ran with shock boots for years. When I cut the boots off there was no trapped debris and no corrosion, but the jeep was from a dry climate, always stored indoors, and never run through mud.

YMMV

If you make sure they are sealed up well or pull them back every so often to wash out anything trapped I guess they may be a good thing.
