I’ve got a soft top with half doors, and I hate them. They are so loud. I am interested in getting the Bull Dawg hard uppers, or the Bestop soft sliders.

Anyone have any recommendations from experience? I read some of the other posts, and it seems like the Bestop windows open further than the BD’s do, but the BD’s are quieter.

The Bestop are $730 and the BD are $750, so if there’s a huge difference in the noise between them, I’d be inclined to go with the quieter ones, I think. If the noise difference isn’t much, I think I’d go with the Bestop because I feel like they would look better with my soft top.

I think the Bulldawg look better with the hard top. Bestop look better with the soft top.

Though I tried to order the Bestop around this time last year. After being delayed for about 4 months, I got a refund and haven't tried again since. So I would check with Bestop if they're in stock, or still on back order. Bull Dawg might have them in stock.

I’ve got the Bestop sliders, and I’m a big fan (easier to order from Amazon + if you don’t like them, easy to return this time of year). With a softtop, I never noticed them being much quieter, but they are tinted and that makes a big difference for me in the heat and sun.

I can't speak for Bestop, but the Bull Dawg uppers use a threaded insert for mounting them. Basically, you have to remove the factory slide in inserts, then install the Bull Dawg inserts. If you want to use factory soft uppers, then you'll have to swap between the factory and Bull Dawg inserts.

Bestop are drop in for soft and hard.
