I bought a battery a year or to ago and it has worked flawlessly since I got it. But with it getting colder in Arkansas I was wondering if putting my trickle charger on it would harm it in any way since I have had no troubles with it. Any answers would be appreciated

Certainly no harm in using it. I have multiple vehicles using a trickle charger right now in my un-insulated garage. I have a Schumaster 1.5 amp maintainer which has a float mode--meaning it keeps the battery charge at its optimum level, and shuts off when at that level.

Go with a battery maintainer/tender that is smart enough to stop the charge when the battery is fully charged so it can be left plugged in continuously. A trickle charger is not smart and if left on could damage the battery, it needs to be disconnected when the battery is charged. I permanently installed a battery maintainer, mounting it with a couple short self-tapping screws onto the top of the air filter box.

This is what I chose, it has been working fine for just over 7 years. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AXTUY/?tag=wranglerorg-20

This is the one that I have, I appreciate the responses but if I could ask Mr. Bransford if this one that I have would be safe to keep connected to my battery would be ok and wouldn’t harm it. Again, thank you so much for answering because the last thing I need is to have to get another battery.

That includes the word 'maintainer' in its description so it sounds fine to me to be left connected year-round without problem.

This is the one that I use on both of my Jeeps which provides great performance.
Battery Tender will do 6V/12V and several battery types.
