Aggressive drivers toward Jeeps?

Was the engine actually pulled and ran on a dyno ? , or is this a swaq derived crank estimate ?
Later model Mustangs seem to be fun cars!

No, the entire car went on a dyno and they measured wheel and crank horsepower. Mustang dynos are known to be the heartbreakers of dynos because they usually put out much lower numbers.

Someone needs to explain that one to me. Every single time we went up to Big Bear, always the same. Some moron doing under the speed limit in all the no passing zones, get up to a passing zone and they flip on the Formula 1 switch and race everyone to the end so they don't get passed so then you and the 20 cars behind you get to follow them to the next one. All the way up the mountain.

Even Mental Meeks can get a drivers licenses.

We had a lot of fun with it but let it go.

sometimes they follow so close behind me ,I cant see just the top of the drivers head

At one point I had a sedan and a TJ and I felt in the jeep that people misjudged my speed a lot and pulled out in front of me from a neighborhood street when I had the right of way and was coming in fast. I don't know if they just assumed were gonna go slow or what. Now I have two TJs and a bike and do some commercial driving and honestly I think we are just mistaking aggression for the sheer stupidity of the average American who got their license from a cereal box.

I think the most baffling example of all I can think of was one time I was going 55 on a snow covered road, riding at just about the limit of my braking ability. A lady approaches the state route I was on from a back road, sees me coming, and proceeds to pull out in front anyways. I just barely avoided her, and then she proceeds to go 35 mph the rest of the way until I found a safe stretch of road to pass her. Some people seriously have no concept of speed, they cannot tell how fast another vehicle is going by looking at it.

Happens everytime I drive to the Oregon coast. Somehow they think they want to lead the caravan with unobstructed views? It makes no sense.

Very rarely, a REAL fast car comes from the back and shows them up. It is absolutely glorious to watch them get overtaken by someone that actually knows how to drive. I saw an older 80s/90s (?) porche 911 do that one time to an idiot in a BRZ and I loved watching that happen.

I’ve asked a handful of TJ owners about this. Most of them agreed with me. When you are driving your TJ, do you experience an absurd amount of aggressiveness toward you from other drivers in their cars? I have two vehicles, my TJ and a normal 4 door sedan. I can genuinely say that I experience being cut off way more, other drivers ride my ass way more, and just ultimately more aggressive toward me. Don’t know if it’s become I’m a younger woman or if it’s my Jeep, I don’t know! Anyone else experience this?

Nope but I once had some lady give me the finger when I was stopped at a stop sign and she was taking out her trash cans. Not sure what it was about but figured she was just mad at the world because she had to take the trash cans out herself.

I live in Arizona and our freeways can get crazy. I've had three vehicles who merged into my lane and hit me. One of them did so as an act of aggression for who-knows-what. The funny thing is, not one of them stopped. They all ran off. I couldn't catch them in my Jeep, but I did take pleasure in knowing they had black swirl marks along the side of the vehicles. No damage done to my Jeep. :ROFLMAO:

How would someone cutting you off or tailgating you know you are a young woman? If you repeatedly find your self being cut off or tailgated while others aren’t, maybe you are being an impediment to traffic?
My Jeep looks like a young woman drives it lol.. I have colorful stickers all over the back of it, a huge pink mexican blanket draped in the back seat too with 0 tint too so they can see my hair and part of my shirt from the back. However, I was talking more about the overall aggressiveness with me possibly being because I’m a woman. Like the making eye contact with me and speeding off to cut in front of me. Idk, I was just asking other Jeep drivers if they’ve experienced something similar! Nothin deep!

I despise it with a passion when I've got the camper on and towing the Jeep on the trailer. I spend most of my time in the furthest right lane because of how difficult it is to move over to the right with that much length and finding a gap big enough. I've put the signal on and watched car after car move up beside the trailer so I can't get over. In some circumstances where I had few options and needed to be over, I just started moving over with them beside the trailer after I signaled well in advance. So far, they have all taken the shoulder or slowed down and let me in but it really shouldn't have to be that way.
BTDT - sometimes you just gotta bully your way over. The other one are idiots in the lane next to you who will hang out right about at the trailer's rear bumper. You can't really tell if they're just inside, or just outside of it. They'll sit there for MILES, then get all pissed off when you finally have to just come over on top of them because they ignored and/or couldn't see the turn signal you'd had on for the last 5 miles. My idiot sister in law told me she likes to do that with semis "so that they'll know I'm there..." - Yea, they know you're there and they don't want you there - MOVE IT!

AZ freeways are tame.

All the time but, mainly by agressive guys in pickup trucks with loud mufflers and big wheels.

So today after sundown in my neighborhood, a jacked up truck on 24's and rubber band off road tyres was tailgating me. 25mph zone. I was doing 25mph. He was all up on me till I went 25mph over one of those speed humps. My short wheelbase just glides over. He was not all up on my rear anymore.

I have lots of folks tailgate me, and drive in a manner that makes sure I can’t change lanes, pass, or pull out.

And I think a lot of it comes because most people’s impression of our Jeeps is that they’re slow. So when they see one, it’s all about getting ahead, around, or in front of us. And that’s not limited to faster cars, it’s any car or truck, even semi’s.

I don’t think it’s aggressiveness, it’s more like a me-first screw you attitude to me.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of aggressive drivers. But I’ve even had little old ladies race me for lane changes.

I tend to be a 2nd lane driver at the most in my TJ. Let everyone else in the newer cars do their thing. Like others have said, it's the pickups and whatnot that will ride up your butt in a hurry despite what speed you're going. But what has irked me for awhile is people pulling up your ass at a stop light. WTF is the reason for that? I have a pretty expensive bike carrier on the back that tucks up under the spare tire nicely but it's there and any stupid tap would probably do some good damage to the articulation of it.

I don't notice anyone being aggressive toward me in my Jeep, but I also move along pretty good for the most part. Maybe the KC smiley face covers on my bumper lights put them in a better mood? Lol

My daily driver is a BMW sedan, so maybe I'm just used to people being a-holes towards me. 🤷‍♂️ I use my turn signals I swear.
