What is this circuit, and what do I need to do to take this back stock? I pulled the intake tube to spray some throttle body cleaner in it, and noticed the electrical tape and orange zip ties. It seems related to the vacuum system, but I don't know where to begin on restoring it.

On a positive note, at least I've probably found the source of my P0122 code.

The clear tubing connects to what could be an adjustable MAP sensor.
Years ago Turbo City sold something similar that was supposed to increase engine performance.

Code P0122 is triggered when your vehicle's Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that your Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) circuit A is reporting an output voltage that is below its expected voltage. Depending on your vehicle, your TPS lower output voltage limit should be around .75 VDC.

You should test the CPS for proper operating voltage.

That's what I really need is a good, high-res image of a stock '06 engine bay. Might make tracking down bullshit like this easier.

You'd think with AI and all that someone could make an app that compares stock engine bays to recent photos and points out the discrepancies.

Would be awesome purchasing used vehicles...although I'm pretty good and sniffing out heinous acts of butchery the only reason I'm good is getting burned...

The MAP sensor should be there on the throttle body.

A mismatch between the TPS and expected MAP reading will throw codes.

The injector harness is in the tray close to the valve cover, not that one.

That one has O2 harnesses, AC pressure switch, etc in it.
