Arizona Rock Crawling Daily Driver

That’s awesome, Stark. Well, except for the cactus part. How did it get that far up your leg - do they really jump?

They don't jump but it seriously takes the absolute slightest brush with one to get nailed. The spines are sharp, they hook in hard, and the plant itself is barely held together.

I've only been nailed once and I got extremely lucky in that I managed to keep most of the spines only embedded in my jeans, instead of my leg.

The cholla has a very shallow root system. When you step near the plant the roots will push down and tilt the plant towards you. Once the barbs hit they stick and do not come out easily. When you go to the cholla garden in Joshua Tree national park they have needle nose plyers chained along the pathway removing the needles.

Great pictures and looks like you had a great day on the trail. Look forward to being able to hopefully join you on some trails at some point.

That cactus looks like a baby porcupine on your leg. 🤣

I think I'm going to nickname you Teva.

Glad you came out of the waterfall situation without flopping.

Congrats on the notch! That's awesome.

Here’s the video of that V notch. I was really holding on by a thread at spots

I wanted to steer driver earlier, but that’s what would have put the rig in the hole! Good spotting. Great driving!

Amazing pics in all seriousness!

We have to make a Jeep version of the famous Lexus ad from the early 90s !

I am having a hard time finding it but I think Toyota also had one with a 4runner bombing thru the forest and inside one of the kids were building a house out of cards, a grandma drinking tea, maybe a baby sleeping soundly.
