Car pics too cool not to share

An actual high performance wagon , unlike a rehashed cop car with a hemi in name only engine.

Too bad Mopar only built this 426 Actual Hemi 1964 station wagon.

Hey don't be hating on the Hemi.... Still better than a LS any day. I didn't know they'd offered a Hemi in any wagons.

Hey absolutely NO hate for REAL Hemi engines !
1st. Gen :
Desoto : 276 , 291 , 341 , 345

Dodge : 241 , 270 , 315 , 325

Chrysler 354 , 392

2nd. Gen.

All Mopar 426 !

These are all real Hemi's and are way cool in my Book 1

Anything built in 2003 and after are basically a modified wedge engine heavily marketed as a hemi to be relevant , looking at you 5.7 , 6.1 , 6.2 , 6.4 liters !
With a supercharger the 6.2 can be a strong runner ! But they are not relevant in anything other than a Challenger.
Too large , Too heavy , Too expensive , limited support aftermarket for the power / cost equation.

I get that the newer Hemi isn't all that the original was but hey it's still a Hemi, if only by name. And they've had a lot of growing pains thru the years. And like most things Mopar they have limited aftermarket support. That always seems to be the crutch of our existence but it's more fun to rag on the Chevy guys.

One of my favorite Fords ! I'll take mine in a 69 Boss 429 Mustang ! , but back in the day even Ford referred to the Boss as a "semi-hemi" head.
Real Hemi's are unique compared to wedge motors , ( OR modified wedge motors ) .

426 Mopar Hemi Head !

5.7 Dodge imitation hemi.

Fords was considered a twisted hemi I believe.

Edit: Yep

Mighty Tough Horse: “Twisted Hemi” Mustang Road Test

FROM THE ARCHIVES: Ford engineering raises the temperature of the mustard by putting the 429 “NASCAR twisted hemi” into the popular Mustang. You wanna drag?

Not to rain on everyone's hemi parade but there are VASTLY more actual hemi head engines that made the trip across the pond to the US than the US ever built!!

BMW, Peugeot, Toyota T engine and Toyota V engine, Miller racing engines, and the Jaguar XK engine just to name a few...
Those don’t count
