Well I've noticed when driving w/o my AC or Heater on, a little fog would appear on the inside of the windshield.
It seems to be getting a little worse and checking the coolant, I've lost a little antifreeze.
I don't have any leaking inside on the floorboard nor can I see any leakage under the hood close to the firewall, heater hoses.
Is this just the beginning of the end for my core?
I haven't tried adding anything to slow/stop this issue and I really don't want to dismantle the dashboard until I have to.
Looking to tap into your experiences with these.

Removing the dash and replacing the heater core is... not as bad as you think its going to be. A bit time consuming but not quite the "Oh My God" that some Youtubers make it out to be. Whilst you have it out may as well clean out all the leaves and other debris and swap the Evap core whilst you are in there...

Don't listen to him! It's horrible!!!

Just kidding. It places respectably in the shit job category but nowhere near the top. Think it sucks so bad because if you do it right there's really nothing to see.
Second the evap core recommendation. It's cheap insurance. Make sure you use new O-rings and get the evap core fittings fully seated.
The foam in the housing is likely shot. You can build new foam out of LOW EXPANSION "Great Stuff" insulating foam.
I squirt it into a plastic bag to allow it to form to the space without making a mess.

If your profile location is accurate, you could simply bypass the core. I don't recommend adding stop leak products because they clog passages in the rest of the system and reduce cooling efficiency.

I did mine. Was a PIA but completely do-able. I replaced my heater core and EVAP...plus the drier, and re oringed all the AC connections since I had a shop drain everything.

Blower motor electrical connection was a PIA... replacement didn't come with the right plug. There are adapters and DIY solutions. I just janmed in on since it's accessible from the firewall.

Vacuum tested all the actuators (97) and cleaned everything.

Foam was shot so I used some grey packing foam from something expensive and replaced some of it.

This is also how I discovered my cowl drain plastic thing was off and stuck behind the engine and my valve cover was leaking and needed a new gasket.

Yes, my location is correct. If I were 30 years younger, I'd probably run without a heater but, I'm old. ha.ha!😃
