Is it a good idea to buy a used ARB super 35 kit?

Well new revolution shafts $260. Arb seal housing $110 spider gears $477 and clutch gear $75 bucks. Revolution 5.13 gear package $460. This seems as much as I can tell to be everything I need to rebuild and install this with spare shafts. Anyone with a lot of arb experience be able to tell me if anything else is need when rebuilding? Any other wear parts I should look or just get? It’s adding up fast so I hope not lol.

ARB has its own master shims that are needed so make sure you have them. It is a much thicker shim set (like 3/16"). Did you get a master install kit? That will include all new ring gear bolts, a shim pack with a variety of sizes, new crush sleeve and bearings. If you call them and tell them you are installing an ARB they should be able to provide you with the specific bearings needed. Get a torque wrench for the ring gear bolts. You can put the ring gear in the oven and it will slip onto the new ARB carrier easily. Get lots of brakekleen and a lubelocker

I haven’t purchased anything to rebuild it install it yet. I was looking at revolutions master install kit but it’s currently out of stock so when I have money and they are back I’ll make sure to ask about specific for arb.

Here is the video I used to repair my air collar. Verify the size of your copper air line before you drill anything out. The newer copper air line is smaller than the older ones. Make sure you remove the o-rings inside the collar. It'll save you some money and if it doesn't work then all you're out is the cost of the soldering supplies.

I'll be happy to help out anyway I can.

Why do you need new spider gears? Are the ones in the ARB damaged?

Yes they have small chips in them sadly.

Find out what size you need for your locker and make sure to get new locking tabs on the sace bolts.
